Hours: 8:30am to 5pm, 30 minutes unpaid break, 8 hours total. Monday to Friday

What will you be doing?

Responsibility for the provision of financial and management accounting for the Sheffield Integrated Waste Management Contract together with Business Partnering the Operational Management Team

• Core Accounting responsibilities include the production of Management Accounts, Forecasts, Budgets and Balance Sheet Reconciliations together with assisting with external Audit

• Business Partner responsibilities, include being the primary support to the contract to the Operations team in areas such as District Energy and Energy Recovery Facility

• At all times ensuring compliance with internal procedures and controls

What are we looking for?

• Financial systems experience

• Business partnering and interpersonal skills to work with the wider business

• Google Office applications and advanced Excel experience

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Flexible self-motivated approach to daily tasks, and ‘ad-hoc’ duties

• Ability to work alone as well as with various teams to strict deadlines

• A keen eye for the required detail to ensure accuracy of all financial transactions

• Working towards a recognised accountancy qualification (i.e. CIMA / ACCA / ACA / AAT) study support available
