Venture Metals + is looking for the right match in a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist. Don’t let the title fool you! You will support Senior Management and Middle Management talent acquisitions across the Venture Metals + domestic enterprise.

We are a fast-growing, metal recycling company looking to grow our operations and you will be the vital link to get us there. In this Senior Talent Acquisition role, you will be primarily responsible for the full cycle recruiting, and retention strategy partnership, for our five Dallas Texas area locations, and our Des Plaines Illinois, Houston, Texas and Lonoke, Arkansas locations.

The successful candidate will collaborate with hiring managers and the HR Director to fully understand the business and talent needs, strategize, and find the best talent to join the Venture Metals + team. The ideal individual will have a passion for the private equity industry and recycling.

You must also have the ability to partner at every level in the organization and with external partners; ability to build strong relationships with hiring manager, partners and candidates; and the ability to prioritize many competing priorities. Lastly, you will have a passion for identifying the right talent that is additive to our company culture. This position is open to remote working opportunities but have a preference to sit in Dallas, TX.

What You Will Do in Your Role

• Own full cycle recruiting primarily for the VM+ business; as workload allows, support may assist the Talent Acquisition Specialist in hourly talent acquisitions as needed
• Act as an extension of the business and partner strategically with hiring supervisors to define recruitment and retention strategies, assess external/internal candidates against business needs, and apply interviewing techniques to assess for culture fit and knowledge
• Coach and influence hiring managers to make effective hiring decisions, maintaining a high level of communication
• Gather, analyze, and present information related to the supply/demand of talent, the labor market, competition analysis and compensation hiring trends, new sourcing avenues, and other relevant market data to help influence positive change and effective strategies
• Manage the candidate engagement, while providing a positive experience and maintaining responsive communication, ultimately making Venture Metals + the preferred employer to our candidates throughout the recruiting process.
• Create a brand-worthy, inclusive candidate experience that helps us attract talent.
• Build and communicate effective executive sourcing strategies and use research techniques such as direct passive sourcing, data mining, and networking to identify and attract a diverse slate of quality candidates both internally and externally
• Adhere to and provide guidance on internal/external laws, regulations, compliance standards, and HR policies and procedures related to maintaining compliance throughout the selection process

• Stay abreast/research new recruiting technology that will drive efficiencies and eliminate waste
• Collaboration with the HR team and business partners to understand the organizations talent position, identify gaps, and build short and long-term recruiting strategies/initiatives for talent sustainability
• Other duties as assigned

The Experience You Will Bring

• 7 or more progressive years of demonstrated related experience in Senior Management level recruiting
• 7 or more progressive years of “Hard to Find” or “High Potential” candidate search experience
• Experience passively attracting, engaging, and recruiting talent from the private equity, scrap metal, manufacturing, or similar industries
• Experience partnering with hiring teams on proactive and creative recruiting strategies and providing market insights to help inform talent strategies
• Experience partnering with executive level hiring supervisors in the recruitment process
• Experience with relationship management, specifically cultivating and maintaining strong strategic partnerships with key customers
• Experience building, communicating, and executing recruiting strategies that drive a diverse slate of qualified candidates
• Experience leveraging data and market insights to influence and make informed recommendations to customers
