Vention Hiring for Manufacturing & Quality Engineer at Montréal, QC Full Time

Job Description
Reporting to the quality director, you will be responsible of conducting quality control and assurance tasks, generate documentations, processes and standards, coordinate problem solving initiatives with different actors internally and with our global supplier base.
Your mission will be to ensure customer satisfaction by keeping high quality standards for automation and mechanical products.
Role and responsibilities

• Develop & optimize IQC processes for mechanical components

• Develop & optimize OQC processes for mechanical components

• Assist CM with manufacturing process by providing feedback

• Assist the customer success team with client related issues

• Investigate RMAs and provide feedback to the engineering team

• Assist the production manager in coaching the subassembly production line with manufacturing issues

• Control final quality approval for mechanical products

• Ensure compliance according to manufacturing standard.

• Perform RCA on mechanical assemblies.

• Contribute to the improvement of the current product line by improving cost, performance, reliability, and manufacturability.

• Collaborate with the Operation Team to ensure fulfillment success.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing industry

• Strong analytical mindset, with expertise with statistical tools such as control card

• Experience in quality management system (ISO, …) and continuous improvement methodologies (lean, six sigma, …)

• Knowledge of quality control procedures and best practices in manufacturing environment

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and production documents

• Basic knowledge in electrical engineering

• Experience with IPC standards (an asset)
