About the role

We have a SHEQ Advisor position available for our team at Qenos, in Altona VIC. This position will be a point of reference for expert advise and recommendations on a wide range of issues relating to workplace health and safety service delivery. This is a critical role to ensure our workers are kept safe at work and return home safely.

This is a permanent full-time position, and we are looking at a salary range between $110,000 to $130,000 TFR subject to the successful applicants’ qualifications, skills and experience against the role requirements.

Duties

• Adhere to company policies applicable to health, safety and environmental regulatory requirements.
• Conduct safety inspections, observations, incident investigations, risk assessments, audits and prepare method of statement/reports.
• Facilitate the reporting and recording of all Incidents, Close Calls and Hazards
• Communicates and follows-up with senior management to ensure that corrective action plans are developed and implemented in a timely manner.
• Conduct and coordinate HSE specific training as required
• Help develop site specific KPI’s and measure regular and accurate reporting

Skills & Experience

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction or related field.
• Diploma or Cert IV in OHS or significant exposure to HSE and its effective implementation.
• Workplace Training and Assessment Qualification (Desirable)
• Heavy industry experience is desirable
• Vocational training in WAH & CS (desirable)
