About the Role

Due to the award of an exciting new contract we now have a key role in our leadership team. This is great opportunity for someone with 2-3 years of experience in their finance career looking to take a step up and advance.

Reporting in to the Senior Finance Manager and Project Director you will provide leadership and manage the finance and commercial elements for the contract related to the facilities management activities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Head up finance support functions ensuring consistent processes / procedures / systems / reporting are in place and comply with corporate, client and contract requirements
• Lead and support the completion of routine monthly tasks ensuring compliance with Ventia policies and accounting standards, and client and project requirements
• Focus on continued process improvement, system efficiencies and profit improvement opportunities
• Support project team in development and operation of project reporting tools, project reviews and data analysis

Skills and experience

• Demonstrated experience in an equivalent position
• Hands on financial management including production of management accounts, AP, AR, RCTI and client payment claim administration
• Proven commercial acumen: administration, R&O, financial modelling, performance modelling, KPIs, and profit improvement
• Ability to engage and shift between strategic and delivery environments
• Knowledge of commercial contract administration advantageous: variations, registers, standard forms of contract, early warnings, risk management, pricing
• Articulate, with clear and concise written communication
• Advanced user of Microsoft programmes including MS Excel and SAP
• Relevant tertiary financial or accounting qualifications
