About the Role:

Due to an internal promotion we have an opportunity for an experienced Finance Administrator to join our team in Arndell Park. This role has a career pathway to step up into a Project Accountant or similar.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, your role will be to provide effective accounting, administration and financial support for the contract to ensure that financial and administrative matters are handled in accordance with accepted policies and Company standards.

Your role will have a particular focus on Payroll, accounts payable, and month end consolidation. Flexible working arrangements available with time in the office and work from home.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with the appropriate allocation of costs each month to the relevant WBS/Work Orders
• Preparation of general journals and analysis of overhead expenses.
• Assist with general purchasing activities on the contract.
• Maintain healthy accounts payable practices and monitor goods receipting and invoice receipting.
• Assist with the preparation of the monthly billing template and associated invoice to the client.
• Report on the debtors ledger and work with the contract to minimise ageing.
• Assist with the accurate processing of payroll across the pay – cost – bill lifecycle.
• Prepare and distribute fortnightly payroll (wages) analytics report.
• Maintain plant rates in SAP as required and equipment master record.
• Prepare monthly plant cost and recovery report.

About you

• Project accounting and financial accounting experience.
• Demonstrated understanding and experience of F&A processes.
• Ability to deliver tasks quickly within a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
• Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team.
• SAP experience would be an advantage but not essential.
• Sound computer skills including MS Excel.
