Our manufacturing client in Metro Detroit, MI needs to hire a PAYROLL PROCESSOR to provide support

JOB TYPE: Full time. Direct Hire

PAY: $60,000- $70,000 annual depending on skills and education

SCOPE: Process weekly and semi-monthly payroll for multiple locations. Provide various payroll reports.

DUTIES

• Full cycle payroll processing from receipt of timesheets through cutting paychecks.
• Receive and upload benefit payroll deduction information to ADP weekly.
• Input garnishment and support orders into the system.
• Create, update, and maintain various payroll reports.
• Prepare and provide data for EEO-1, 401k, Worker Comp and Discovery and ACA reporting and audits.
• Administer ADP Wisely card and Work Number Programs.
• Receive claim information from insurance company and process sick pay.
• Assist employees and Human Resource managers with payroll related questions and reports.
• All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree preferred. High School Diploma required.
• Previous work experience processing payroll. Overall knowledge of payroll and HR concepts and functions.
• Advanced level knowledge of ADP Workforce Now. Knowledge of MS Office Programs.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels in the organization.
• Detail oriented. Strong organizational and math skills. Ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to pass background check.
