Velocity Vehicle Group Hiring for Accounts Assistant Job at Australia Full Time

Velocity Truck Centres are seeking applications for an Accounts Assistant to join our growing admin team based in Milperra to provide assistance to our 3 NSW dealerships.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be able to hit the ground running, have a can-do attitude and have previous experience working in a similar role. The purpose of this position is to provide financial, administrative, and clerical support to the dealerships.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Processing Daily bank statements & bank reconciliations
• Cash/Cheque banking
• Daily vehicle payouts & bailment
• Data entry
• Processing of daily vehicle transactions
• Processing of monthly credit card reconciliations
• Provide accounting & clerical support to the finance team

Skills & Qualifications

• Have at least 1 – 3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in the automotive industry
• A can-do attitude and ability to work well in a team to achieve a common goal
• High attention to detail
• A willingness to learn
• Ability to prioritise own work, and have excellent time management skills
• Excellent numerical and data entry skills
• Good IT skills and ability to learn new systems
• Ability to work to and meet deadlines
