Test Manager | Sydney | Hybrid / Offsite / Remote | Citizens | Contract

Job Description:

Key duties /tasks:

• Lead and support UAT teams, including monitoring business performance, setting priorities, managing resources and workflow and building capability.
• Monitor and manage work output and quality against established performance standards through interpretation of quality analysis and ing
• Develop test artefacts including test plans, test execution s and test status s for stakeholders both internal and external to the department
• Support, maintain, execute and control performance of user acceptance scripts
• Assist in development of UAT test phase deliverables (UAT test scenarios & scripts)
• Plan, develop, maintain and execute UAT test cases on multiple platforms
• Contribute to and influence strategy (solving conflicts as needed)
• Share knowledge and expertise as the Subject Matter Expert and provide assistance and mentorship to less experienced colleagues
• Exercise delegations in accordance with legislation and guidelines

Essential criteria:

Knowledge Required

1. Legislation, policies, procedures, and information management requirements relevant to the work area
2. Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and the Application Lifecycle Management Tool
3. The Department’s privacy ethics, workplace health and safety and security protocols

Key Skills /Capabilities The ability to:

1. Develop long term plans for the team and manage work in the context of business priorities
2. Define and communicate the test strategy for the project and co-ordinate and manage planning of the system and / or acceptance tests
3. Manage the creation / selection of relevant scenarios for testing and ensure that tests reflect realistic operational business conditions
4. Take responsibility for integrity of testing and acceptance activities and co-ordinate the execution of these activities, providing advice and guidance as needed
5. Ensure test and results are documented, ed to stakeholder and are available for specification of user instructions
6. Promote and ensure use of appropriate techniques, methodologies and tools
7. Highlight issues and risks identified during testing to business stakeholders and manage client relationships with respect to testing matters
8. Grasp expectations and concerns and negotiate quality outcomes
9. Understand the audience and context and effectively tailor communication and communication styles
