Performance Tester | Canberra | Hybrid / Offsite / Remote | Citizens | Contract

Job Description:

Testing Level 5 includes, but is not limited to, the following general activities:

1. Plans and drives testing activities across all stages and iterations of product, systems and service development.
2. Provides authoritative advice and guidance on any aspect of test planning and execution. Adopts and adapts appropriate testing methods, automated tools and techniques to solve problems in tools and testing approaches.
3. Measures and monitors applications of standards for testing. Assesses risks and takes preventative action.
4. Identifies improvements and contributes to the development of organisational policies, standards, and guidelines for testing.

Essential criteria:

1. Extensive experience in performance testing tools – Load Runner, Performance Centre.
2. Demonstrated experience in scripting skills using C, C# and SQL and has strong ability to create & maintain reusable performance scripts.
3. Write, maintain and execute load and performance test scripts for secured, integrated large scale IT applications.
4. Coordinate with multiple teams on execution of the test scripts and monitoring.
5. Develop, maintain and implement standards and methodologies for load and performance testing.
6. Experience in problem solving and ability to mitigate risks, performance bottle necks.
7. Develop, maintain and implement standards and methodologies for load and performance testing.

Desirable criteria:

1. Experience in load testing using protocols – SAP, .NET, Citrix.
2. Recommend and adopt emerging technologies to ensure optimal performance of the applications.
3. Experience in defining performance strategies.
