Data Management Business Analyst | Canberra / Sydney / Melbourne / Brisbane / Perth / Hybrid / Offsite / Remote | Citizens | Contract

Job Description:

The department’s aim is to the Data & Insights branch have been tasked with building an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) integrating all of our data from multiple sources into the one centralised location. The project team are currently building the Health, Compensation and Workforce data into the EDW to enable standard business ing, advanced analytics, simulation modelling and predictive analysis for these subject areas. In addition, the Data & Insights branch have just been commissioned to build a new tool using the EDW to consistently and effectively improve workload management in relation to selected business activities.

A Business Analyst is needed to support the existing team to build the workload management tool and work with our business areas to understand their ing requirements, the business environment and data, as to document these requirements so that the broader project team can build data products that are fit for purpose.

The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties:

• Engage with business users to analyse and prioritise business processes to elicit business/data requirements and ensure data products built are fit for purpose
• Oversee the completion, interpretation or negotiation of detailed requirement documentation and provide specialist advice to assist with technical specifications
• Manage relationships with the business, informs their priorities and helps to resolve conflicting requirements or business needs between stakeholders. Profile data sources to determine the correct data source to meet data requirements
• Work collaboratively with the team to support the production of high-quality analytics and visualisation products and outcomes for business stakeholders
• Communicate complex information or specialised content clearly, accurately and precisely for the stakeholder audience and specific business purpose
