About the role

We are looking for a Head business development to oversee the business development, sales and marketing activities for the Markinson Business Solutions. ing to the CEO, this role will develop relationships with customers and build additional partnerships with clients through innovative sales research and market knowledge.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

• Generation of system sales and related products and services to achieve or exceed agreed yearly gross sales targets
• Develop and implementation of sales strategies and plans for the organisation
• Contribute and in some instances project manage the co-ordination of promotions, events and programs to close sales and generate quality leads
• Maintain & negotiate the Markinson contract framework, in consultation with the CEO, Legal advisors and other stakeholders
• Manage customer relationships to minimise attrition and maximise opportunities for upsell and referrals
• Forecast sales’ opportunities for company services
• Ensure the provision of prompt and efficient customer service to internal and external customers is maintained
• Lead the Sales & Marketing team and influence the broader company as a leader in the business

Skills and experience

We are looking for an experienced professional who can demonstrate the following:

• Proven leadership skills
• 10 years strategic sales experience in and ICT space
• Minimum 3 years proven experience in selling ERP, business and financial/accounting application software in a professional environment
• Strong level of interpersonal skills
• Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
• An analytical and conceptual thinker
• Excellent time management capabilities
• In-depth understanding of the IT industry
• Energetic and flexible approach
