A brand-new opportunity has arisen for a Chief Technology Officer to join a leading scientific software technology business based in Cambridge. Due to the innovative technology, the CTO will need to have a background within hands-on software development followed by senior level management experience and a track record of guiding the development and management of software platforms.

The company has developed a game-changing software package which is already revolutionising the life-science sector and has the potential to expand into other sectors. The product is being used by chemists and other life-science professionals to guide decisions and improve efficiency in drug discovery.

As the Chief Technology Officer, you will be response for developing the Company’s technical strategy, consistent with the Company’s commercial and product objectives working with the Executive Team; leading the Software Engineering, DevOps and QA teams to develop and deploy high-quality products and cloud services.

Essential requirements
• Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering
• A very recent and relevant track record of successfully guiding the development and management of software platforms
• Strong recent experience in Scale-up of infrastructure and technical teams
• Information security planning and management
