Job Summary: Perform day‐to‐day financial transactions, including inputting, verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts payable/receivable data.
Description of Duties:
· Participating in day-to-day accounting functions including collecting payments, cash application, daily bank reconciliation and resolution bank issues as needed.
· Maintain the accuracy of outstanding balance for customer accounts and assist customers with questions regarding their accounts with the preparation of A/R aging report and A/R risk assessment analysis.
· Prepares monthly financial analysis on accounts receivable, collection percentages, billing statistics, etc. for reporting and discussion with Accounting Director and CFO.
· Review and approve all incoming exemption certificates, ensuring they are complete, correct, and appropriate. Manage and maintain tax exemption certificate website/ software (Avalara).
· Perform various Accounts Payable duties, including maintaining vendor accounts on the vendor payment portal, verifying accuracy of vendor invoices, processing bills and vendor payments, handling vendor inquiries and disputes, and assisting in monthly accrual process.
· Monitor corporate credit card expenses for reasonability and proper documentation. Review and process employee expense reports to ensure in compliance with Company policies.
Job Qualifications:
· AA or BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
· Proven working experience as accounts payable/receivable specialist or accountant
· Understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection
· Data entry skills and proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting/financial records
· Hands‐on experience in operating spreadsheets/MS Office and ERP accounting software
(NetSuite experience required)
· Proficiency in communication and customer service orientation
· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
