The Family Advocacy Program ( FAP) Specialist/ Educator provides training and supportive services under the general direction of the FAP Supervisory Family Events / Project Coordinator.

– Provides trainings and programming designed to provide information, knowledge and facilitation of personal and family development that identifies and reduces family violence.

– Educates and trains commanders, Soldiers and other professionals on the FAP.

– Provides a variety of classes on stress management, relationship strengthening and parenting for the community.

– Organizes outreach and abuse prevention events.

– Bachelor’s degree in education or social science discipline required.

Position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with customers and staff. Requires computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook) and experience in training and creating presentations on a variety of topics. Requires background in family and children’ s services or community organizations, with at least one-year family violence prevention or intervention experience. Experience with Army military community a plus.
