VEC Civil Engineering Hiring for Talent Acquisition Specialist (Technical) Job at Canberra Full Time

We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist with experience recruiting for technical capability to join our growing internal Talent team to support the growth and development of our business.

Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for leading end-to-end internal recruitment processes to hire a predominately permanent workforce. We are seeking an engaging individual who takes a consultative approach to recruitment, acting as a business partner to deliver tailored recruitment experiences to both candidate and stakeholder.

Beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, you can also expect to be involved in the advancement of our Talent function; from extending our Diversity and Inclusion efforts, to assisting on a variety of internal Talent projects.

WHAT YOU BRING

Several years of experience in a similar role, ideally from the professional services industry or an agency recruiter looking to move into internal recruitment

Experience recruiting for technical capability such as Systems Engineers, Network Engineers, Technical Business Analysts etc.

Extensive sourcing experience using tools such as LinkedIn, Seek Talent Search etc.

Highly effective communication style teamed with strong interpersonal and influencing skills

Proficient search methodologies and ability to think outside the box to engage and identify the right candidates

Ability to be a change driver: the desire to do the right thing, have challenging conversations where needed and be an advocate for our diversity and inclusion efforts
