FINANCE ANALYST – REPORTING AND CONTROL

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a finance analyst to support Downer Group with the management and reporting of working capital. This role is focused on daily reporting and forecasting of cash, reconciliations, analysis and stakeholder engagement. This is a busy and vital role that will be based in Collins St, Melbourne.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

• Responsible for updating daily cash forecasts and reporting.
• Monitoring of bank accounts, reconciliation of transactions, identification and resolution of issues.
• Engage with business units to identify and manage working capital risks and opportunities.
• Preparation of intercompany loan reports, validate and reconcile to Hyperion.
• Provide analysis, financial modelling, reporting and support to the Finance Manager.
• Drive working capital improvement momentum throughout Downer.
• Point of contact for key stakeholders including business unit finance teams, Treasury and Business Shared Services.

ABOUT YOU:

• Tertiary qualifications in accounting.
• 3+ years’ experience in accounting, treasury or business analysis within a medium or large commercial firm.
• Highly proficient in preparing reconciliations with a sound understanding of general accounting and reporting.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving ability with excellent attention to detail.
• Advanced MS Office Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets.
• JD Edwards and / or Hyperion experience highly desired.
• Takes accountability for deliverables and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with corporate and site-based teams.
• High levels of self-discipline, self-motivation and initiative.
