Overview of Position

Varsity Tutors is looking for Tutor Engagement Specialists to join our team! Tutor Engagement Specialists will have a direct impact on business growth, development, and quality of client-tutor engagement. Our Tutor Engagement Specialists facilitate the placement of highly qualified instructors, educators, and tutors with clients. They also help resolve client or tutor concerns, and ensure positive relations with the tutors as independent contractors working with our clients.

Qualifications

• BA degree preferred, but not required
• Prior education, teaching, tutoring, or client service experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and multi-task
• Availability to work some evenings and weekends
• Highly adaptable to change, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Assess and understand the needs of our clients
• 50-60 calls per day, helping tutors with questions, placements, and other engagement needs
• Effectively match clients with qualified tutors
• Resolve client/tutor concerns and build strong relations
• Facilitate the tutor-setup process in the tutor marketplace
