Variety Child Learning Center Hiring for Special Education Teacher Job at Syosset, NY Full Time

Variety Child Learning Center (VCLC) is a not-for-profit agency providing quality educational and therapeutic services to young children with disabilities. Our Facilities are located in Syosset, NY & Levittown, NY. Our school operates 12 months/year.

We are currently accepting applications for Special Education Teachers. A Special Education Teacher is responsible to develop and provide specialized instruction to meet the needs of each child in the class according to his/her/their IEP in all areas of development while implementing curriculum that is compatible with the New York State Next Generation Learning Standards and the New York State Early Learning Guidelines. In addition, the teacher is responsible for ongoing evaluation and assessment of the student’s progress toward instructional objectives and coordination of the delivery of special education services as per the IEP.

We require a Master’s Degree, NYS Professional Certification in Special Education/students with disabilities from birth to 2nd grade or equivalent, and 1-3 years.

ABA experience – preferred.

Bi-Lingual Spanish – preferred

Hours are 7:30am-3:00pm or, 8:00am-3:30pm Monday Friday.

Full Time Special Education Teachers work a total of 212 days/year

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
