IT Department
The IT Department for Vantage Data Centers is very hands on. In most cases, we specify, purchase, configure and maintain all networking and server hardware. We also work closely with partner VARs to learn about the latest technology changes so we can make informed purchase decisions. The IT department is always looking for ways to strike the best balance between technology, performance and cost. Vantage IT also participates in designing each of our new data center building’s networking infrastructure, including but not limited to: diverse pathways connecting to carriers, meet-me room (MMR) hosting (rack, cabs, ladders, cross connect panels…), wireless AP coverage, etc. If you like getting your hands dirty and helping to design, build and maintain IT infrastructure in a modern data center, then come work at Vantage. Essential Job Functions
  • Work under limited supervision, both independently and within a team environment.
  • Support Local users with IT assistance on premise.
  • Support AV equipment in Conference rooms.
  • Prepare and provide technical support for end users laptops and computers.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, fix/repair technical issues with software and hardware
  • Deploy, install, and configure OS and software applications.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Excellent understanding of Active Directory, Azure and Office 365
  • Provide Tier 2 Escalation support for Helpdesk.
  • Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience working with Windows and OSX
  • Experience working with Android and IOS phones
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
  • Travel is expected to be less than 5%
  • 3-5 year’s Experience working end users/Helpdesk environment
  • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
  • Ability to lift 25Lbs (Setting up workstations/Monitors)
  • Experience with working within a ticketing system
