About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Cost Insight Analyst within our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team supporting our Shared Services business partners. The FP&A team in Australia is a critical strategic partner in the delivery of Vanguard’s mission and value proposition. This role will focus on providing financial and commercial support – with a focus on cost management, by being involved in producing management information and analytics, participating in quarterly forecast cycles and providing key insights. This role sits within a supportive and high performing team, which makes a significant impact on Vanguard’s Australian business.

In this role, you will

• Deliver best-in-class Management Information (MI) for the Australian Business, with a focus on cost analysis and productivity

• Support the annual business planning and re-forecasting cycles – coordinating with Finance and other teams across the organization to understand the detailed cost plans of each business unit

• Performs analysis and prepares cost MI, and distribute to senior leaders with key insights

• Interrogate results to provide overall insight on business performance, with a secondary focus on formulating expectation of future performance

• Continuously develop and improve MI and tools to drive better decision making

• Present monthly results to the Group finance team, sharing context and perspective and discussing key metrics

• Lead the way with engagement and adoption of new financial reporting systems

About you

We are looking for a team-player, with a strong analytical skill set and a passion for providing key insights and delivering with excellence. You will have a strategic and commercial curiosity, enjoy solving business problems and supporting business initiatives. In addition to this you’ll also possess;

• Professional accounting qualifications with postgraduate with CPA / CA qualification

• Experience within Financial Planning and Analysis / Business Partnering / Data & Analytics / Management Accounting function

• Experience in Microsoft Excel modelling, efficient data manipulation essential along with the ability to present data in various formats.

• Highly organised & strong relationship manager – ability to develop group plans / timelines and proactively manage stakeholders to deadlines
