We are looking for a Production and Packing Supervisor to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Packing Responsibilities
1. Supervise the packing process, area and people during shipping season
2. Coordinate the fulfillment of hard goods and broker material with the shipper
3. Ensure plants have enough moisture and are free of pests and diseases by coordinating with the grower before picking.
4. Ensure all materials such as fasteners, label guns, twist ties, towels etc. are in good supply at each station
5. Ensure correct plants/labels/pot wraps (numbers and variety) in rack we are packing
6. Prioritize and reprioritize shopping cards by which loads based on delivery schedule
7. Make sure wrapping is consistent and secure for the plants during transport
8. Keep the shipping area clean and well organized

Production Responsibilities
1. Coordinate & supervise people in transplant lines assigned
2. Receive plants for transplanting, following procedures.
3. Schedule the transplant in the system, checking all aspects of potting (soil, pots, tags, location, etc.).
4. Ensure that the inventory of transplanted plants is correct.
5. Maintain plants (inputs) in the warehouse with enough water and space for air movement.
6. Keep the record in the photograph folder of plants by week and vendor.
7. Update inventory of pots.

Experience:
1. 3-5 years warehouse experience
2. 3 years supervisory experience
3. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
4. Spanish speaking an asset
5. Inventory experience
6. Passion about horticulture
7. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
8. Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure and tight deadlines
9. Ability to multitask
10. Experience driving forklift
11. Ability to work independently and in a team environment
12. Reliable transportation as the work location is not on a bus route.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
