Valley Hospitality Hiring for Accounting Assistant – Entry Level Job at Columbus, GA Full Time

Duties

· Responsible for accounts payable.

· Precise data entry of all invoices within weekly scheduled deadlines.

· Vendor statement/account reconciliation.

· Analysis of general ledger coding.

· Data entry of manual check payments (Petty Cash checking accounts by property.)

· Invoice entry for F&B cost of goods sold.

· Post Daily deposits for property hotel and property restaurant

· Prepare Sales Tax Return Forms and run checks monthly.

· Records management.

· Assist Corporate office with any reports needed

· Personal and financial information is confidential and should not be disclosed

· All aspects of accounting for hotel property to include invoice entry, payments, Payroll Tax Payments, Quarterly Payroll tax returns, Employee Garnishment payments and tracking, Bank Reconciliations, Journal Entries and stockholder meeting requirements.

· Assist VP of Finance with bank reconciliation and reports.

· Secures financial information by completing data base backups.

· Perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Accounting. (Experience of 2+ years general accounting experience will be considered in lieu of degree)
• Must be able to pass background check and drug test.
