Valley Farm Transport Hiring for Dispatcher/Fieldman at Firebaugh, CA Full Time

VFT promotes within the company; all of our Dispatchers, Fieldman, and Terminal Mangers have previously been drivers or mechanics for VFT. Due to our well-rounded and experienced leadership, we understand that safety is more important than any load.

Job Summary: Responsible for coordinating and transporting loads between origins and destinations. Represents VFT in a professional manner and maintains a positive attitude with drivers, customers, growers, and potential new customers.

This full-time Dispatcher Fieldman/Driver will be based out of Firebaugh, CA.

• November-April Driver/Dispatch Relief
• May-August Dispatcher Relief/Driver
• August-November Dispatcher (Lost Hills Almonds/Pistachios)

If interested Experience: Five years of related experience in agricultural dispatch preferred.

Work Schedule
Work schedule will be determined by the area in which the candidate is assigned. Must be willing to work a rotating schedule.

Other knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Class A license required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Familiarity with the trucking and/or agricultural industries.
• Familiarity with surrounding areas.
• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
• Must be proactive and a self-starter.
• Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Must possess strong communication skills and maintain a professional demeanor when communicating with drivers, customers, growers, and potential customers.
• Must be trustworthy and unbiased.
• Must maintain a professional business environment and always represent the company in a professional manner.
• Must deal with dispatchers, safety department, other motorists, shippers, receivers, law enforcement personnel and DOT officers in a professional manner.
• Must understand the rules and regulations that govern truck drivers. Must have solid understanding of rules that pertain to hours of service and equipment related requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
