Accounting Manager / Senior Accountant

The Accounting Manager will oversee the financial processes, policies, and accounting responsibilities of the company. They will recommend process improvements, maintain general oversight of ledgers, perform reconciliations, generate financial and ad hoc reports, and maintain internal controls.

This position reports to the CEO and will collaborate with him on all accounting and reporting maters.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS·

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 2-5 years of relevant experience
• Advanced excel skills (pivot tables, Vlookups, etc)
• Proficient in Quickbooks
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Trustworthy and able to maintain discretion
• Solid communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Month-end close, including posting journal entries and generating financial reports
• Month-end variance analysis
• Bank account reconciliations for multiple bank accounts
• Sales tax filings for CO cities and various states
• Post subsidiary cash receipts and customer invoices into Accounts Receivable sub-ledgers
• Generate and maintain semi-monthly payroll for salaried employees
• Administer company’s 401K plan and coordinate annual 401K audit
• Maintain daily cash reports
• Perform monthly account reconciliations including intercompany accounts
• Coordinate annual insurance audits for workman’s comp and general liability
• Coordinate with an external accountant for preparation of corporate tax return
• Ad hoc reporting as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
