Valero Hiring for Grains Procurement Representative – Ethanol Plant at Aurora, SD Full Time

Procures grain and establishes supplier relationships while supporting the goals and objectives of the commodities group and the Company.

• Purchases corn supply as required from producers and grain elevators in accordance with guidelines provided.
• Establishes relationships with area producers and marketing groups as well as backup relationships with other locations.
• Assists with determining appropriate cash contracts for the region.
• Communicates effectively with producers and elevators as required for contracting grain purchases and scheduling deliveries.
• Enters purchase contracts into grain accounting system.
• Maintains grain position s for facility; compiles and maintains corporate-wide position .
• Works with accounting department as required to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments to producers and elevators.
• Coordinates location hedge positions and recommendations to upper management.

This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

• Associate’s degree or higher level degree required.
• Bachelor’s or higher level degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred.
• 5 years of experience with agriculture products or grain purchasing required.
• Proven customer service experience required.
• Experience managing multiple tasks simultaneously required.
• Experience with accounting systems required.
