Vaco Lannick Hiring for Customer Service/Logistics Planner – 18 Month Contract at Mississauga, ON Full Time

About the Opportunity

• Obtain quotes from carriers who provide the best service and have competitive rates
• Ensure freight is dispatched to different carriers within a stipulated cut-off time
• Schedule delivery appointments
• Monitor and ensure all shipments arrive at a specified date and time
• Coordinate shipping requests from the customer service team
• Coordinate scheduling of delivery and deal directly with carriers on any issues arising from: tracking of shipments, any delays, or loss of product
• Identify problems that may impede delivery and provide solutions
• Send shipment updates to customers as required
• Enter orders into the Truckmate accounting system
• All other duties or projects upon request

• Passionate about superior customer service
• Strong work ethic and high standards to the output of work and target deadlines
• Outstanding record of attendance
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a demanding and fast paced environment
• Problem solving and decision-making skills
• Effectively negotiate rates with carriers to achieve profitable margins
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with the MS Office
• Effective organizational skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work flexible hours as required

Salary

$45,000.00
