VAC Developments Ltd Hiring for Junior System Administrator at Oakville, ON Full Time

Job description: JUNIOR SYSTEM ADMIN.

VAC Developments Ltd is a growing Canadian Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing Company located in Oakville. We are looking for a Junior System Administrator to join our growing IT Team.

NOTE: This is NOT a remote position, candidates will be required to physically work at the facility.

Responsibilities

• Providing first and second-level technical support of current information systems locally.
• Maintaining, testing, and resolution of issues of all PC hardware and associated peripherals such as scanners and printers
• Supporting general Microsoft applications, such as SQL, Office365, and Office 2013-2016.

• Hands on experience supporting multiple operating systems (Windows Pro 7/8/10).
• Email support, adding and configuring new mailboxes, daily monitoring for email security software, domain renewal, performing certificate updates, Exchange server and office 365.

Requirements and skills

• Two (2) or more years’ experience working in Help Desk support, PC hardware, software, and network administration.
• Knowledge on systems and components such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft Exchange, e-mail archiving, anti-virus, anti-spam, telephony, web and file/print services, Hper-V Server management.
• Knowledge about Install, Configure, Maintain Windows Server 2008 R2, 2016 and Windows/Server services.
• Quickness at picking up and understanding business needs and context.
• Keeping your cool when dealing with stressed IT users.
• Agile and analytical problem solving.
• Deep capacity to thrive in a dynamic, changing business environment.
• Maintaining attention to detail and efficiencies while juggling multiple priorities.
• Motivation and drive towards continuous learning and growth within your role and the company.
• Excellent communication skills.

· BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.

· MCSA, Network +, CompTIA A+ certificate an assist.
