Vaachi Systems Inc Hiring for Controls Engineer at Remote Full Time

You have experience working on controls systems and have demonstrated an ability to design, program, and commission control systems. You create excellent documentation and work closely with the operators who use your systems in the field. You like to get your hands dirty and are as comfortable writing code as you are turning a screwdriver. The Role:

You will take ownership of selected controls projects. Your role will include designing new systems, developing PLC code and HMI displays, creating one-line and control drawings, working with vendors to fabricate panels, selecting instruments, and commissioning new systems. You’ll work closely with our operators in the field and assist in troubleshooting issues with existing systems. You will have the freedom to exercise your design vision and demonstrate your skills through key projects.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience working on controls in an industrial or utility setting
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (or 5+ years of experience)
• Knowledge of electrical safety principles and best practices
• Familiarity with the programming of PLCs
• Experience troubleshooting issues with operating systems in the field
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently
• Past work using data analysis and the development of controls is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of new control systems
• Troubleshoot issues with existing systems to root cause and work with operators in the field to optimize existing equipment
• Analyze data from existing operations to design and optimize control systems
• Manage project implementation and complete projects on time and on-budget
• Direct contractor resources to execute projects
• Travel as required for project supervision and execution (30%-50%)
