V&A Hiring for Technology Software Tester Job at South Kensington, England Full Time

The Museum is moving to a more integrated system architecture and whilst this improves data transfer and productivity it increases the complexity of change. As the volume of integration projects increases so our maturity and capability in testing must also. With the advent of the new Technology Programme Management Team and the roadmap of changes to the enterprise architecture it is essential the Technology Department evolve and adopt more robust approaches to system development and testing. This role is to provide test experience across all test phases of each project.

Main purpose:

To provide test resource across all/any projects as requested within V&A.

Work across all phases of testing from System, SIT, UAT and post live proving.

Produce or work with the relevant SME’s to produce quality test scripts.

Where appropriate, work closely with vendors to ensure quality of deliverables.

Conduct manual testing of software deliveries to ensure quality of code and de-risk the deployment into production.

Report bugs and errors via a pre-agreed defect management process.

Provide testing input into triage of defects.

Work with cross functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Provide guidance to business resources in best practice with regards to test scripting, execution and raising defects.

Provide post go live proving and warranty support.

Contribute towards potential automation framework.

Deputise for the test manager as required, representing the test function in project meetings.
