Key responsibilities:
1. Developing and implementing new software algorithms for the software stack
2. Implementation of ROS packages/ algorithms for mapping, localization and navigation
3. Testing the software algorithms, on the UV2 robot at our London based workshop
4. Coordinate and collaborate with the software and app developers
5. Contributing from design to testing
6. Managing and prioritising tasks as required
You will have:
1. MSc or PhD in robotics software engineering, computer science, mechatronics or related field
2. Minimum 3-4 years of professional work experience in Robotics Software Development
3. Experience working on ROS, SLAM mapping, navigation and sensor fusion
4. Experience with autonomous navigation hardware and technologies: LiDAR and Intel Depth Camera
5. Strong programming experience with Python and C++ in Linux
6. Solid knowledge of computer vision, machine learning and robotics algorithms
