Location: Enfield

Package: Permanent up to £50,000 salary, Van + fuel. Benefits package: matched pension and holiday

My client, a leader in the Highway Construction across the UK, is currently seeking a Site Manager to join them on a permanent basis, you’ll be based in the Enfield area.

You’ll be responsible for achieving results towards the Business Plan through the implementation of operational process, proactive management of a site team and holding a professional approach to managing the Highways Construction site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for building and maintaining professional and productive relationships which are collaborative and mutually trustworthy with client officers, designers, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Must routinely report to the Contracts Manager and any member of the Divisional Leadership Team regarding progress on site and any successes, issues or challenges arising.
• Responsible for the effective implementation of the companies safety management system as it is amended locally.
• Responsible for the control of access to site, who is on site, who is expected on site, the high level allocation of individuals to pieces of work and the management of any challenges that arise in relation to workers.
• Responsible for the day to day management of a single contracting project, or combination of projects by agreement if deemed appropriate, ensuring that at all times those sites operate in accordance with the management system as it is applied locally.

Qualities and Experience required:

• Hold a full UK Licence driving license (essential)
• Industry recognised qualification(s) in managing Health and Safety
• Batchelors Degree or similar further education e.g. HND in Civil Engineering or Construction related subject
• Experience leading and managing site teams to deliver exemplary highway construction projects
• Knowledge and understanding of the challenges and complexities of working in an urban environment
