Utilise Recruitment Looking for Contract Manager at Cheltenham Full Time

Title: Contract Manager X2
Location: Gloucester based
Package: £48,000 + 12.5% bonus scheme + company car + benefits: 25 days holiday, pension and sick pay
 
My Civil Engineering and Highway Maintenance client are currently seeking 2 Contract Managers to join them on a permanent basis at their site in the Gloucester area!
As the Contract Manager you’ll be will be required to oversee and supervise a team 3 supervisors and 18-24 operatives and managing operational sections in line with budget and business plan, meeting financial targets and analysing weekly cost and value progress returns.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for monitoring, advising and directing the supervisors on day to day duties, ensuring all cost and value is captured daily.
• They will need to monitor performance of supervisors and also manage all sickness, leave and undertake appraisals.
• Delivery of all monthly tool box talks and safety alerts.
• Represent Area team with respect to liaising with the Client. developing and promoting close working relationships with the client.
• Represent Area team at Local depot meetings and H&S monthly meetings.
• Monitor and manage all aspects of Health and safety under their control.
• Undertaking safety investigations for incidents.

 
Key Experience and Knowledge required:

• Contract Manager level experience within a Highways Maintenance / Civil Engineer company
• Knowledge of schedule of rates
• Good knowledge of a Term maintenance contract.
• Previous experience of managing a team or 10+ members.
