We combine rich telemetry from grid assets with the power of machine learning to unlock and accelerate the integration of distributed renewable energy resources. The ideal candidate is familiar with Agile software engineering practices and tools, passionate about the development and delivery of quality software, and enthusiastic about working with product owners, designers, engineers, and testers. This fast-paced development team is working on the company’s next-generation platform which will enable visualization, simulation, and optimization of electricity distribution to the edge of the grid.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with our designers and product owners to manifest evolving requirements into a working application
• Design, code, deploy, maintain, and improve end-to-end applications using Java, Python, Javascript, NodeJS and related frameworks and tools
• Develop appropriate unit tests, adhere to coding standards and best practices, and implement a cohesive end product

Minimum Qualifications

• BA/BS in computer science, engineering or related field
• 2+ years of previous professional experience in software development and a basic understanding of Java, Python, and related technologies
• Demonstrated ability to quickly integrate new programming skills and tools
• Spring, preferably Spring Boot
• Previous ReST API development experience

Enhanced Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• MA/MS in computer science, engineering, or related field
• Experience with control systems applications (e.g. industrial processes, manufacturing, commercial buildings, SCADA)
• SQL/NoSQL (PostGres, MySQL)
• Docker/containerization experience
• C++
• Experience with 3rd party development toolkits

Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
