ABOUT THE SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER ROLE

We are adding an additional software engineer role to our expanding development team. As one of the first software engineers at URI you will be integral in digitizing the company’s operations and developing software solutions that will allow the company to pivot and scale as we continue to grow.

SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be a persistent, creative problem ­solver
• Contribute to high-level architecture decisions
• Work closely with the Technical Product Manager and the Development Team to design and ship software solutions
• Build frontend and backend software solutions hosted on cutting-edge cloud technology
• Take ownership of the code base which you will help create
• Write clean, unit-tested code using best practices.
• Mentor new developers as the team grows

SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• 5+ years of experience developing software (3 years minimum required)
• Experience shipping large-scale features to production (required)
• Experience developing cloud solutions on AWS (preferred)
• Experience developing frontend solutions with React, TypeScript, Ionic Framework, or similar technologies (preferred)
• Experience developing backend solutions with NestJS, NodeJS, TypeScript, Docker, or similar technologies (preferred)
• Experience working with both NoSQL databases (dynamodb) and SQL databases (postgres) (preferred)
