Expedition Engineering is an award-winning engineering consultancy and has a rapidly growing pipeline of work offering construction innovation advice in the infrastructure and construction sector. Expedition designed iconic structures such as the Velodrome, the cable car and Chiswick footbridge, in London. Recent projects within the Construction Innovation team include the AVA footbridge and the Environment Agency Decarbonisation Accelerator Programme. We are a trusted advisor to HS2 providing productivity, design efficiency and net zero support. We also work at small scale, having supported Network Rail and their supply chain in producing low carbon concrete planks for station platforms, which was a finalist at the 2022 BCIA awards.
In addition to construction innovation and structural engineering, Expedition is involved in masterplanning and civil engineering projects, as well as leading on innovation to challenge traditional methods of construction.Â
We are looking for talented and enthusiastic engineering and / or innovation graduates to join our growing construction innovation team. We are actively looking for applicants with diversity of experience and qualifications.
The role would involve:
– Design innovation support for all types of infrastructure
– Background research and data analysis
– Digital and data solutions to improve productivity and efficiency
– Supporting the delivery of Net Zero Carbon projects
– Pioneering new solutions with a focus on manufactured / industrialised approaches
– Innovation management consultancy
– Strategic advisory support
– Collaborative innovation development and delivery
– Innovation process development, delivery and enhancement support

What you will bring
– An Engineering or Science based degree with previous work experience either post-graduation or through vacation work.
– A MSc covering topics such as Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Management, Data science or similar would be an advantage
– Strong decision-making and analytical skills, commercial acumen and creative thinking.
– Resilience, diligence, a passion for teamwork and a focus on safety.
