Urgent Care Center of Bloomfield, PLLC Hiring for Physician Assistant PA-C Full Time

We are currently seeking to hire a Physician Assistant to join our fast-growing team. The ideal candidate has a background in occupational medicine and will be personally responsible for helping with urgent care services. This position requires a strong background in wound management, injury rehabilitation and urgent care services, so successful candidates will have extensive experience in these areas and be capable of performing in both a team and lone capacity.

Qualifications for the Physician Assistant:

• Experience in an Urgent Care Setting.
• Graduate of an approved Physician Assistant Program.
• Current license in the State of Connecticut
• Experience with computers, printers, telephones, fax machines, photocopiers and stethoscope medical equipment needed to perform medical duties.

Responsibilites for the Physician Assistant:

• Completes health/medical history and performs physical assessment on patients in accordance with the presenting chief complaint and established protocol.
• Interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic intervention.
• Collaborates with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients in accordance with practice protocol.
• Orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures as warranted in accordance with the established protocol.
• Synthesizes data to determine preliminary assessment and therapeutic plan utilizing principles of prevention and health promotion.
• Administers treatments, medical intervention and injections in accordance with established protocols.
• Educates and advises patients or significant others regarding health and illness prevention including referral to community resources to meet patient and family needs.
• Instructs patients and family, regarding their plan of treatment and expected outcomes as well as follow-up appointments as indicated by the patient’s condition.
• Ensure that documentation is comprehensive and written in the established format of the practice.
• Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
• Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $105,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
