Urban Barn Ltd. Hiring for Store Manager in Training at Cambridge, ON Full Time

Urban Barn is looking for a Store Manager in Training at our Cambridge store in Ontario.
This position provides managerial development for the eventual role of Store Manager.
The Manager in Training (MIT) works with the Regional Manager to create and achieve an excellent customer and employee experience in our stores. Considered the leaders of our organization and the champions of Urban Barn values, Managers promote respect, honesty, and fairness among our store teams. This includes inspiring, encouraging and coaching our people to be at their best. As a brand ambassador, you will work closely with the Regional Manager to continue to evolve our in-store experience. With elevated exposure to the organization and the design industry, this opportunity is a launchpad for ongoing growth and development within the company.
Our stores are open daily and on weekends, so we’re looking for candidates who can work a variety of shifts and be present in our locations during our peak customer times. (I.e. weekdays, weeknights and weekends).

What You Will Do

• Motivate your team to deliver on customer experience, obtain sales targets, meet store goals and merchandising standards. Your passion for design is matched only by your dedication to your people and their current success.
• Champion our values and assist in the development of your team by setting expectations, keeping open lines of communication, delivering constructive feedback, and providing support.
• Display a focused approach to operational excellence and optimize management of ‘controllables’ such as labour, inventory and shrink.
• Ensure ongoing training to provide a memorable service experience for every customer. Maintain high store standards by keeping our spaces beautiful, clean, stocked, organized and merchandised.
• Engage the team to achieve key business goals. Under the direction of the Regional Manager, perform additional projects/duties/assignments as required and/or by request

What You Bring

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in management preferred
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales goals
• Ability to coach and develop a team of top performers
• Strong business acumen and a dedication to achieving key metrics
• Capacity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift/move stock weighing up to 50 lbs.
