About Upward Health and the Microsoft Azure Administrator Role:

The Microsoft Azure Administrator is a key member of the Upward Health Infrastructure & Security Team and will serve as part of a larger team dedicated to implementing the organization’s cloud infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a high-pressure environment, a dynamic team player that understand the importance of collaboration and communication. Applicants must possess a professional demeanor and be self-motivated, having a strong desire to learn while maintaining flexibility and understanding that the scope of services and protocols will evolve along with our organization’s mission of improving healthcare delivery for underserved populations.

Why is this role critical?

The Microsoft Azure Administrator will serve as the primary point of contact implementing, managing, and monitoring identity, governance, storage, compute, and virtual networks in a cloud environment, plus provision, size, monitor, and adjust resources, when needed, with a focus of effort on virtual machines, networking, and security.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and expansion of virtual infrastructure
• Research and development of new and upgraded functionality
• Establish secure connectivity with partner organizations
• Ensure compliance with healthcare industry security standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• MCSP
• Proven ability with Microsoft Azure administration tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent documentation skills, with a focus on Microsoft Visio
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven ability to effectively manage projects independently
• Affinity for collaborative design and receptive to evolving business needs
