Upper Lakes Foods, Inc Hiring for Senior Developer/Analyst at Cloquet, MN Full Time

SUMMARY: The Developer/Analyst Senior is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications and databases as well as overseeing other developer projects. Serves as a consultant and mentor to junior developers. Position is responsible for analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, making recommendations to team and leadership and then creating and modifying applications to meet those needs. The position s to CTO but needs little oversite to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage multiple projects at once to ensure that project objectives are exceeded on time. Develop enhancements to existing systems.
• Collaborate with other senior level developers to define and specify project needs.
• Create databases and online s to support project measurement and data analytics.
• Attend and lead meetings with project managers, users, and other developers.
• Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes.
• Assist on projects to build, test, and document application changes.
• Shares knowledge of ULF system applications with Development team and organization as necessary.
• Reviews and mentors junior level developers; provides guidance and troubleshooting as needed to complete projects and achieve departmental goals.
• Identify opportunities to develop build and test projects; execute and lead projects with development team to improve efficiency of business processes.
• Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Company, and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge, and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
• Assists in identifying and providing training opportunities for development team and organization to better implement systems.
• Poses no direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself, of others, or to property. Defined as a significant risk of substantial harm that cannot be eliminated or reduced to an acceptable level by reasonable accommodation.
• Requires regular attendance to perform essential element as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience

• 6+ years’ experience in a development role or related degree with commensurate experience.
• Competent in Object Oriented Programming and Functional Programming
• Demonstrated success in project management
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Windows OS

Skills

• Networking/Server Skills
• Microsoft Office365
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
• Excellent written and verbal communicator, both internal and external to the organization.
• Demonstrated Analytical and problem-solving skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION & WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Typical office environment with desks, chairs, computer equipment/monitors, overhead shelves & filing cabinets. Sitting/Standing at workstation 85% of the time; standing/Walking away from work station 25% of time; frequent telephone and face to face interaction;
• Occasional overnight travel
