Rewriting the Code (RTC) is a nonprofit organization focused on empowering college and early career women to be the next generation of tech leaders. RTC has created a fast-growing, global community of over 14,500 awesome women who are supported in their professional and personal growth through community, educational programming, and connections with RTC’s company partners.
About this Opportunity
The Early Career Programs Director will support a growing community of women during the emerging years of their tech careers. The ideal candidate will embrace and advocate for our mission to support and develop women leaders in technology, and its’ global community of undergraduate + graduate school students, and early professional women in tech. You will serve as the liaison between RTC and existing and prospective RTC early career members. You will nurture a trusted and authentic space for discussion, education, user collaboration and support, tech industry discussions, thought leadership, and proactive problem solving to drive loyalty, engagement, retention, and expansion.
Role & Responsibilities
Strategize, plan and promote community events and initiatives throughout the year virtually and in-person in key regions including NYC, SF Bay, and Seattle
Regularly initiate engagement with the RTC early career community to better understand their needs to develop the most impactful programs and resources to support them
Collaborate with the Partnership team to develop and share the value proposition of partnering with RTC and interacting with the early career community
Collaborate with the Director of Analytics to ensure early career community data is updated and important insights are collected
Manage virtual spaces for early career members to connect, consistently engaging and sharing relevant information
Publish a monthly newsletter to RTC early career community
Lead and promote early career volunteer opportunities within RTC in support of the student and alumni populations
The ideal candidate will have the following characteristics:
Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of tech industry experience preferred
Exceptional interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication
Passionate about community building and exploring opportunities to support early career women in tech
Ability to energize and lead volunteers to support initiatives
Strategic thinker, who can build thoughtful, data and insight driven plans
Detail oriented with an ability to adapt and manage multiple projects
Goal oriented, clear prioritization, and maintains focus when it comes to deadlines
Possesses a deep understanding of online groups and communities
Ability to periodically travel to major cities where early career women work

You’ll regularly engage with the RTC leadership team and know that your efforts and commitment is helping support a pathway for thousands of women in technology. Compensation is commensurate with the incumbent’s skills and qualifications.
Our benefits include:
Health Reimbursement Account, employer funded up to $437 per month to assist with out of pocket healthcare premiums and expenses.
3 weeks of paid time off with 8 annual paid holidays.
