What will you be doing?

The Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant collaborates with hiring leaders, HR Business Partners and HR colleagues to deliver recruitment expertise. This role influences (through coaching and advice) Hiring Managers and HR colleagues to adopt effective talent practices and assists in the design and delivery of inclusive recruitment and selection strategies.

What will you bring?

Key Accountabilities:

• Manage attraction and recruitment of diverse professional and leadership level roles.
• Partner with key stakeholders to identify talent needs and deliver strategic and best in class solutions to source top talent.
• Demonstrate understanding of talent needs of hiring managers and job requirements to assess candidate quality, skills and fit to identify the best candidate for a position.
• Support specific Talent Acquisition improvement projects.
• Use appropriate methodologies to effectively assess diverse talent.
• Leverage external partnerships and networks to attract top talent.
• Create opportunities to enhance the candidate and employee experience.
• Work collaboratively with wider Talent Acquisition Team to share best practice and implement improvements to the end to end hiring experience for candidates and Hiring Managers.
• Provide coaching to the hiring managers in our end to end recruitment processes.
• Deliver Inclusion and Diversity projects that contribute to achieving Unum’s diversity goals.
• Collaborate across HR to support and lead in the delivery of inclusive recruitment and selection strategies and Global HR priorities.
• Ensure governance and legislative requirements are met including the management and maintenance of background checks for candidates.
• Ensure the continued protection of Unum’s information, by following all applicable Information Security policies and procedures and by reporting suspected weaknesses to the Information Security Officer.
• Embed and contribute to the Conduct Risk Framework, wider Solvency II systems of governance principles, Treating Customers Fairly requirements and the Risk Management Framework as it applies to the role and divisional activities and drive improvements as required.
• Comply with Unum’s Code of Conduct and other Company Policies and Procedures as appropriate.

Required knowledge and skills:

• Deep experience in full lifecycle recruitment and selection.
• Strong experience of stakeholder management skills with Senior Leaders.
  • An expert level of knowledge in all full lifecycle recruiting components including, but not limited to, sourcing, assessing, salary trends, relationship management, and due diligence.
  • Excellent negotiation, decision making and persuasion skills.
  • Exceptional rapport building and interpersonal skills for effective networking.
  • Must be able to manage competing demands, accept criticism and constructive feedback, while being extremely adaptable and flexible.

  • Strong technical aptitude: extensive use of internet as a vehicle for sourcing, job postings and researching; Ability to effectively utilise any recruiting systems for tracking and managing applicants; Ability to grasp MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
