Information Management & Technology Services (IMTS) is the University’s central IT provider for core infrastructure and services and is responsible for the development and management of information and communications technology resources in response to research, teaching and business requirements.
The Service Desk Officer is part of a customer-focused team providing a single point of contact for the UOW community for IT services, incidents and requests. The role is responsible for providing first level support, problem diagnosing, resolution and escalation as required. This role requires participation in a shift roster between locations, including outside of standard business hours, currently between the hours of 8am to 10pm, Monday to Friday.
Applicants will have a degree or tertiary qualification in an appropriate IT discipline and/or a combination of experience and education/training, experience in supporting a wide range of software applications such as Microsoft and Adobe products and experience in the use of operational and support tools such as IT Service Management/ticketing systems, Active Directory and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
