JOB SUMMARY:
The Office of Human Resources exists to serve faculty and staff in the development, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive personnel, training and employment relations system. Through consultation and information dissemination, we assist the University of Wisconsin-Madison to anticipate and meet the human resources demands of a changing educational environment.
The Talent Management Office includes Talent Acquisition, Learning and Talent Development, Workforce Relations, Cultural Linguistic Services, HR Communities of Practice, and Equity, Inclusion, and Employee Well-being.
The Director of Talent Management provides leadership, policy direction, and management to the Talent Management unit and serves as a member of the OHR Executive Leadership team. The Director determines the strategic direction and priorities of the unit and supports the teams in reaching these short and long-term objectives. This role serves as the subject matter expert and advisor to institutional leadership, disseminating best practices and providing updates on human resources initiatives. The Director promotes and supports a culture of professional development and growth for staff. The Director promotes civility within the workplace and consistently models a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

related field or related prior work experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:
HR Experience with a talent management focus in at least 5 of the last 10 years: Experience leading the vision, strategic planning and execution in one or more of the following talent management areas: Equity and Employee Experience program; Learning and Talent Development, Multilingual Programs, Talent Recruitment/Acquisition, and Employment Relations.
Preferred:
– Experience in higher education environment
– Experience working with multicultural groups, cross-cultural communications or lived experience working across cultures, ages groups, and/or languages
– Bilingual skills
