University of Westminster Hiring for Lecturer in Student Well-being and Legal Education Job at London, England Full Time

This post is full time and permanent, working 35 hours per week.
Westminster Law School is a large, vibrant and diverse community of legal scholarship, learning and practice located in central London, with a unique commitment to excellence and innovation through transformational legal education and research. The School provides academic and professional legal education across all levels, from foundation year to PhD, including our flagship LLB, LLM and LPC and CILEx programmes. The School is home to around 2000 students, and has a strong intellectual identity and a proud tradition of providing a pathway to academic success and the legal profession to students from all backgrounds.
In line with our commitment to providing our students with an outstanding level of educational and pastoral care, the School is looking to appoint a new member of our academic community with a focus on the well-being and educational development of our students. The holder of this new role, entitled Lecturer in student well-being and legal education, will engage directly with our diverse student community to provide them with pastoral, educational and professional development services and opportunities, and with our broader academic community to develop and deliver high-quality educational development opportunities within our programmes of study and more broadly.
The successful candidate will have a passion for student care and development, and for helping our students achieve their educational, personal and professional goals. We warmly invite applications from candidates from a wide variety of academic and professional backgrounds, including but not limited to law, legal education, higher education, various areas of student service provision, educational psychology, counselling, and all cognate fields. The successful candidate will be a full member of the academic community, and will work alongside other members of Westminster Law School to develop excellent practice within the School related to student support, experience, community and education.
As a full member of our academic community with a lecturer role, the postholder will be supported to contribute to the scholarship and research community of the School, and to develop in their own right in this regard. Equally, we encourage applications from a broad variety of academic and professional disciplines not limited to law, as we believe a diverse set of backgrounds can better contribute to a thriving Law School community.
