Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice in Athletic Training
The Department of Movement Sciences and Health at the University of West Florida invites applications for position #124730, a full-time Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice (non-tenure earning). This is a 9-month position.
Salary: Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications: The position requires a doctorate in Athletic Training, Human Performance, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or closely related discipline from an accredited institution. Board of Certification (BOC) Certified Athletic Trainer in good standing and eligibility for FL State Licensure, and NPI number is required along with a minimum of 5 years contemporary experience and clinical athletic training practice and collegiate teaching experience in the areas of athletic training, kinesiology, and/or related fields at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels. Additional requirements include: familiarity with CAATE standards and processes; supervision and evaluation of athletic training students; ability to work in a collaborative faculty environment; involvement with professional organizations; and excellent communication and writing skills.
Duties: The primary responsibilities of the successful candidate will be to teach graduate coursework and/or other courses assigned by the department chair. The candidate will engage in clinical scholarly activity, university and community service, and work with other university departments to recruit students in the graduate Athletic Training program. Additional opportunities may include oversight of the clinical education portion of the program, consistent with CAATE standards for the Coordinator of Clinical Education. Additionally, the candidate will facilitate relationships with colleagues within the university and stakeholders at the local, state, national, and international levels as well as a commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion.
