Adjunct Faculty, Science Methods Course – Education Department

The Education Department invites applications for adjunct professor positions. Responsibilities include on site classroom teaching at the undergraduate level. Compensation based on educational qualifications. Course taught Tuesday or Thursday late afternoon-evening.

Qualifications:

· Master of Education in ECE/Elementary Education or Middle Level Science required.

· At least two years’ experience teaching science grades K – 8 required

· Higher education teaching experience preferred but not required

· Strong commitment to Christian faith and practice required

Potential Course: EDU 363, Teaching Science. This course is mostly populated with ECE PK-4 majors but may contain students majoring in Middle Level Grades 4-8. This course is not populated with Secondary Education majors; therefore, course content covers PrK-6 grade level.

The Education Department offers bachelor’s degrees in Education leading to PDE certifications in Early Childhood PK-4, Middle Level 4-8, Special Education PK-12 (dual certification), and Secondary English 7-12.
