Job Summary
Codes software applications to adhere to designs supporting the College of Engineering’s web systems. Standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software. Oversees testing and develops fixes. Candidate should have knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the computer science and software development field (i.e. SQL, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript).
Responsibilities
Duties will include coding, design, development and general maintenance of custom software applications for web-based systems. Candidate will also design, develop, and maintain departmental, faculty, lab and research web sites (mostly WordPress) within the College of Engineering, and other related duties as assigned.

- Proficiency in Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP.
- Experience with an MVC framework, (Laravel, Symphony, Zend, etc..)
- Experience with modern javascript libraries/frameworks such as jQuery and Vue.js
- Experience with Wordpress.
- Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3.
- Experience with web communication architecture including Ajax
- The ability to create modern, responsive designs.
- Solid grasp of relational data, normalization, cardinality.
- The ability to take ownership of projects, bring new ideas, and work both independently and as part of a team.
- The ability to set priorities, manage deadlines, and be responsible for design, development, testing, and maintenance.
