University of the West Scotland Hiring for Education Guidance Adviser Job at Paisley, Scotland Full Time

Full-time: 35 hours per week

The School of Health and Life Sciences is seeking to recruit an experienced and highly organised Education Guidance Adviser to become a key member of the School’s Professional Support Team.

The post-holder will provide pre-entry, on-going and exit guidance to part time students on flexible programmes of study and act as Admissions Officer for the BSc (Hons) Professional Health Studies programme and other standalone modules.

The successful candidate will ensure that students follow suitable programmes of study and receive effective support during their Higher Education experience and will work with the School Enhancement Developer and the Student Engagement Co-ordinator to support progression and retention activities across the School.

You will have previous experience of working in an adult or HE guidance-related role, in addition to excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students and staff on all levels. You will possess excellent organisational and planning skills, be able to plan under your own initiative and work to specific deadlines and conflicting priorities.

A flexible, proactive and adaptable approach to work is crucial with the ability to work in a team environment, supporting colleagues and sharing expertise. Excellent IT skills are required.

It is likely the post will be required to work in a hybrid environment with time split between home and campus.
