An opportunity has arisen for a newly created position of Manager, Professional Education to join the Faculty.
About The Role
The purpose of this position is to provide strategic and management support to the Associate Dean of Teaching and Learning of the Faculty of Engineering and IT. The Manager of the Faculty’s Professional Education unit will have responsibility for leading a future-focused professional education strategy and business portfolio across the Faculty of Engineering and IT Schools, in strategic alignment with the Faculty’s Teaching and Learning strategy as well as Postgraduate.futures.
This position is important in helping lead and coordinate FEIT’s strategic aims in building a culture of lifelong learning in the postgraduate education market, developing industry partnerships and responding to disruptive shifts in the external environment.
With examples, please outline in a separate document how you meet the following seven (7) key selection criteria points below:
1. Highly developed planning and organisational skills with the proven ability to set and understand priorities and to work effectively under pressure
2. Highly developed oral communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly and confidently communicate with all levels of staff in the university
3. Strong analytical and conceptual skills, demonstrated initiative, judgment and proactive problem solving and decision making skills
4. Sound knowledge of project management principles and practices
5. Knowledge of professional education and corporate learning/training market in Australia
6. Appropriate tertiary qualifications and extensive relevant experience
7. Experience in corporate/organisational training and professional education market
Remuneration
Base Salary Range: $121,789 to $127,588 pa (HEW 9)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
